The selection program was conducted with the aim of identifying the most promising athletes to form the Sri Lanka Under 18 National Pool that will represent the country at the forthcoming CAVA Under 18 Championship.This initiative marks an important step in developing the next generation of Sri Lankan volleyball players and strengthening the future of the sport in the country.

FIVB Level II Coaching Course – Colombo, Sri Lanka (9–13 March 2026) The FIVB Level II Coaching Course officially commenced today with an opening ceremony held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, running from 9th to 13th March 2026.A total of 35 participants, including 6 international participants, are taking part in this important coaching development program.The ceremony was graced by the President of the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation, Senior DIG Sajeewa Medawatta, as the Chief Guest. Vice Presidents of SLVF Mr. Mahinda Bandara and Commander Mahesh Kariyawasam, along with several Executive Committee Members of SLVF, were also present at the occasion.The course is being conducted by Sri Lankan FIVB Instructor Mr. Charles Thilakarathne, providing valuable knowledge and advanced coaching education to the participants.This program marks another significant step in developing and strengthening volleyball coaching standards in Sri Lanka and the region.

The Closing Ceremony and Certificate Awarding of the FIVB Beach Volleyball Coaches Course 2026 The Closing Ceremony and Certificate Awarding of the FIVB Beach Volleyball Coaches Course 2026 was successfully held in Negombo, marking the conclusion of several days of intensive learning and practical training. The course, conducted under the expert guidance of FIVB Instructor Javier, provided Sri Lankan coaches with valuable knowledge in modern coaching methodologies, tactical systems, athlete preparation, and performance analysis in beach volleyball. During the ceremony, certificates were awarded to the participating coaches in recognition of their successful completion of the program. The event highlighted the commitment and dedication of the coaches toward enhancing their knowledge and contributing to the development of beach volleyball in Sri Lanka. This successful program marks another important step toward strengthening the standard of beach volleyball coaching and the overall growth of the sport in the country.
