It is with profound sorrow and deep regret that the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation announces the passing of Mr. Suresh Subramaniam, Honorary Life President of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka and the Commonwealth Games Association of Sri Lanka. Mr. Subramaniam’s unwavering dedication, visionary leadership, and invaluable contributions to the development of sports in Sri Lanka have left an enduring legacy. His commitment to the Olympic movement and the sporting community inspired generations of athletes, officials, and administrators. The President, Executive Committee, players, officials, and the entire Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation extend their heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. Day One Concludes Successfully at FIVB Coaches Course in Sri Lanka Day 1 of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball Level One Coaches Course successfully concluded in Colombo, Sri Lanka.A total of 45 participants, including 16 international coaches from India, Switzerland, Ethiopia, Maldives, and Nepal together with 29 local participants, took part in today’s sessions focused on fundamental coaching methods, ball control, and continuous volleyball drills.The course is conducted by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation from 11–15 May 2026
